  • Just before my last radiotherapy

Posted May 11, 2011 by tanya

I met with my fantastic GP yesterday - Mark came. I had my long list of questions for her and she is so good about taking the time to go through everything properly. A few notes for my reference: 1. I'm to keep taking Caltrate D - extra calcium to help my bones stay strong after the chemo. 2. I ha...

  • Australia Day

Posted May 11, 2011 by tanya

Leila took the four of us in to the city for the Australia Day fireworks tonight. I cooked coriander chicken rice from my new Falling Cloudberries book and packed us a picnic. We walked the 2km in to the city with the throngs of crazy Aussie patriots. The kids were so excited when the fireworks star...

  • Itchy

The radiated area is now a well-defined red burnt square. It isn't sore like sunburn but is quite itchy. But apparently it's 'looking good'. I guess 'looking good' is completely relative! Will take the kids down south tomorrow to see my sister-in-law who is recovering from a brain haemorage. She's ...

Was at pilates on Saturday and this evening. Really enjoying it and the muscle soreness that comes after. Am going once per week now. Had a great walk last night after the kids went to bed. I walked down William St and there was so much life. Lots of people out and about and lots of shops to look a...

Pilates and a pedicure today. I'm back into pilates after a few weeks off. Really enjoying it - it's so good for stretching out the tired old muscles. Cooked some Jude recipes today - that makes me happy.

Radio is going well - only two weeks left. The area being treated looks burnt now and feels warm but it's not a problem. I'm moisturising twice per day which should be helping. Felt so much better this week after my personal training session than last week. I wasn't nearly as sore - and I did my ho...

  • Project team trip to Molloy

Posted March 12, 2011 by Ness

Well what a great few days! Cynthia and I took a road trip down to Molloy Island, on the Blackwood river just East of Augusta, WA. Visiting our wonderful web developer, Maria, we had a great time spending a few days working on the final stages of the website and talking through what we needed to ma...
