My daughter and soninlaw and family (2 boys 7 and 5 and 2 yo girl) are in the midst of moving house so Nana (me) had them to stay for a week (or twee) to enable them to finish the term at their school. Chaos reigned in my small house with DIL and SIL sleeping on the floor in the lounge/dining, boys in the spare room and girlie in the study in a portacot (these are both minute rooms) Mix in a west highland terrier called Maggie, the rain, the washing, the fighting (kids only) the noise i.e 2 tellies both showing the Wiggles, the computer with the Gardenscapes game theme blaring and Maggie's highly disgruntled growling when the 2 yo pinched her toys and poked her in any eye or orifice she could reach .... But it was after all that ....Nana heaven even if my ipad and computer were annexed the minute I turned my back and no work could be done (not complaining mind!) The week ended and the family evacuated to sunnier climes nearer the beach leaving Nana feeling a little bereft or was that berserk?! Would I do it again? Yes, in a blink of my very tired eyes. P.S. Maggie is also recovering and looking forward to the next bout!

This is a milestone day for my household , in particular the garage...for the past 21/2 years i have been flooded out every time it rained (admittedly this is not that often in Perth) Today it has rained bucketlooads and I have only had a couple of small puddles in the garage. Yayee All due to the builder (who shall remain nameless, but stands behind every home he builds, (which is a really a very scary thought) dug up the front and back of the garage and put grates and drain connections in to redirect the bucketloads. Why not before this you ask? well the council approved the plans for the property didn't they? so why would you need more drainage on property which is several degrees lower and behind others? duh!! How did you all survive the downpour? The only pouring I 'm doing now is into a large glass from a frosty bottle. Cheers me dears (-:
