  Do you have a favourite book of all time? 

  Mine is The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay.  The critics described it as "...a story of the triumph of the human spirit - a spellbinding tale for all ages"

  " First with your head and then with your heart" is what the veteran boxing trainer says to Peekay a seven year old boy, who dreams of being the welterweight champion of the world.  For the young Peekay it is a piece of advice he will carry with him throughout his life.

  I have just finished reading Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali - an autobiography about Ayaan a woman from Somalia telling of her early life in Somalia and then her experiences as a refugee and then politician in Holland. Great book wonderful woman

  Well... quite a lively Click Chat again last night with a book and movie theme - of course we went off track and added TV and Music into the mix... but here is some of the fav books of the moment!

  My favourite author is Stephen King, my favourite books of his are The Stand and The Dark Tower series, great books.
  Chariot of the Gods I read ages ago, glad to see others are interested in this sort of stuff, very interesting.

  45 YO, DCIS, 4.5 cms, Nodes clear, LB mastectomy, expander surgery Feb 13.

  Hi Aussie,
  I have read some of Stephen King as well but not the Dark Tower series so will check them out. I am reading the Game of thrones series at the mo and like Michael Connelly's books particularly the Harry Bosch series. I aso enjoy family sagas like those written by Diana Gabaldon. make sure you have time toread over the chrissie break. xx
