  Had my second surgery in 2 weeks last tuesday. Had to have a re-excision of margin. First results are good, ductal in-situ but not a wide enough margin on arojnd 25% of the tissue.

  First op went really well, great healing and recovery. Last Tuesdays not so good....lots of bruising this time and, today my breast has a distinct sound of fluid slapping around when I press the upper part of it. Am guessing this is seroma....have a follow up appt on Wednesday..wondering if I just leave it till then???

  Anyone had similar please?

  Yes, it's often the case that second surgery soon after the first doesn't heal up quite as quickly, and the possibility of wound complications is a little higher - though should still heal well over time.
  
  The description you have given does sound exactly like a seroma has developed in the surgical area. A small amount of seroma fluid is a natural response to surgery and is usually not very noticeable.This fluid slowly resolves over time as the wound continues to heal. If healing is slowed (as second surgery can cause), more fluid may be produced and a 'swelling' or area of fluid that 'moves around like a waterbed' may become noticeable.
  
  This fluid is not harmful and can be left - unless there is signs of infection (redness, fever, wound discharge, etc), or the swelling is becoming quite uncomfortable.
  
  If concerned at all, checking with the team or your GP may be needed - and often a needle is inserted to drain the excess fluid (luckily this process is not usually painful!). Antibiotics may be considered if any signs of infection.
  Otherwise this can be left until your next review appt Wed - where the team may decide to drain this fluid then or leave your own body to absorb.
