  • Down south and a new week

I had a lovely day on Friday. Lill looked after the kids leaving me time on my own. I was at work in the morning and was going to come back for a few hours until Candice suggested that I don't come bac and instead do something for myself. My first thought was - well what would I do? Anyhow I decided...

  • Normality

Feeling pretty good again. The past two days have been fairly easy - I am still tired most of the day but I can get through a whole day without a nap. And I do often have a sort of a headache/fuzzy head combo that makes me feel a bit vague and fragile. I have been doing my 30 minutes walk, and am fo...

  • Out again...

Enjoyed meeting up with two other fellow chemo-patients/mum of young'ns for lunch today. Was great swapping stories, and swapping tips and info. Inspired by Emma, the kids and I made scones after school. Then we sat with Helen and ate warm scones with jam and cream, with a cup of tea. Perfecto. Hap...

  • Out for dinner

Have been watching my temp a little more closely than usual since Wed afternoon. Feeling a little warmer than usual. It's been up above 35 which is fine as long it doesn't keep going higher (37.5 means pack your bags your going to hospital, and I'm usually around 33 or 34). Was lucky enough to be i...

  • Boxing again

Posted May 11, 2011 by tanya

Had a great session at the gym today. I got through everything - bike, rower, situps, stretches and some boxing too. I felt great. And I just try not to compare to what I used to be able to do. Just - today I worked out hard and I felt good.

  • I'm popular

Posted May 11, 2011 by tanya

Well fans I was very popular on my blog today - most likely because of the vast quantities of baldness that Mark posted today! I know this might sound strange, but one of the really positive things (yes there have been quite a few) that have come with my diagnosis of cancer has been getting back in ...

Wasn't feeling good yesterday. Thought the fuzzy head would have started to disappear. Spent yesterday morning on the sofa. We were all home for most of the day and it was so beautiful and sunny. The kids had a fabulous play out in the back yard - they had so much fun together climbing. Today I fee...

  • Massage

Posted May 11, 2011 by tanya

Felt pretty average today. And yesterday. Maybe a little worse today. Maybe not. Anyway I'm just tired and achy. So what did I do? Booked a massage for this afternoon! I had been given a gift voucher a little while ago so booked a back and shoulder massage. I thought my lower back was the most sor...
