Many aspects of our lives are affected by a cancer diagnosis. This often includes managing the every-day practical activities of living, especially during treatments, and the possible financial burden if costs start to build and our ablilty to earn is impacted upon.
Financial and practical supports are limited, however support may be available to help, depending on personal circumstances. Discussing with your Breast Care Nurse, GP or hospital Social Worker may assist in gaining access to services in your area. For rural people facing long distances for specialist care, additional services including accomodation & transport assistance are usually available in each state.
