  • So Much To Look Forward To

Well I think I have succeeded in getting Mum to go to hospital tomorrow, but I am going to have to organise an ambulance. I can't get her out of her room. It is all she can do to get down to and back from the Kermode. She was telling me that the pain was less but she is still moaning, grimacing ...

  • No Hospital

Mum didn't get into hospital today. I don't think I am going to get her there, she can barely move out of her chair. I am sooooo tired. :(

Community Nurse came around and talked to Mum about going to hospital. Mum is considering it, she is scared though. Is she actually going to go through with it? I hope so. Talk about worry beyond worry...

  • ...More Pain

    Posted May 18, 2012 by adele12

What am I going to do? Wish Mum would go to the hospital. Since I got here she has been in pain most of the day - howling. Dad isn't getting enough rest, he has broken sleep. I really hate this!

  • What am I going to do?

Not sure what I am going to do. Mum is worse. She can barely get up from her chair, walk and get in bed. Something isn't right. Her pain medications where increased but she still is in so much pain. I am trying to encourage her to go to the hospital to see if they can get it under control. She...

  • Nine Squares

Posted May 1, 2012 by LizInDarwin

In morning breeze bandanas dance Upon my washing line Bright squares of cloth against blue sky The pieces number nine.   Discovered, bought and sent to me By mother, cousin, friend They have been lying in my drawer My treatment at an end.   Another woman needs them now Though ...

  • Treatment

Today marked the halfway point of my chemo treatment. 10 weeks in, 10 to go. Thought it easier to focus on this than how many treatments were left (6 down, 10 to go). I started a new drug last week Paclitaxel, after being on AC before that. This new drug is much kinder, the only reaction being a red...

Today I rejoined my quilting group after an absence of 7 mths.  It was remarkable; the group consists of up to 20 women. Some, like me, do machine patchwork and quilting, a few do much of their quilting by hand, and thers do stitchery patches that are then made into quilts.  They treated m...

I had just a quiet word to the universe this morning . those that know me , know it was just a little more than a word , and I had had enough of seeing my princess on the couch , seemingly incapable of doing more than holding a pillow and staring at some old movie but FINALLY this morning , the Ange...
